Albo - Mikołaj [Przedpełkowic], the governor of Kalisz, gives Hencza [Hinczy] the right to locate his city, called Venice, and organize a municipal commune there according to the principles of Środa law, appoints him in this city an hereditary mayor and equips the village with two fields of role, lying under the city and two łans in the village of Kobylin, free of duty. It also gives Hencza every third manor house in the city, every sixth garden in front of the city, two meatballs in the city free of charge and the right to acquire the third, all bread and shoemaking benches, merchant stalls, a bathhouse, all mills, the right to hunt animals and birds, and every third denar from all courts held by him in the city. The courts of the head of the commune are established free from the influence of their officials. On the other hand, it joins its village called Falinicze [Chwalenice], from which after four years of free time the townspeople are to provide the heir with four measures of wheat, rye and oats, and silver cream. To improve the state of the city, he gives the townspeople 16 years off, after which they have to pay the heir rent, just like other of his cities. He also orders that in the villages of his Kobylin, Rębiechowie and Starkowiec three times a year great courts are held, where all crimes (thefts, beatings to blood), as in the city, are to be judged by the mayor. The church in this city gives two fields in the village of Kobylin and two gardens in front of the city.
