Twentieth-Century Analytic Philosophy

While there is no one definition of analytic philosophy, Stroll (philosophy, U. of California) surveys important developments in logic, philosophy of language, epistemology, and metaphysics over the past century. He does this by concentrating on such influential thinkers as Gottlob Frege, W.V.O. Quine, J.L. Austin, John Searle, Gilbert Ryle, Patricia Churchland, and Paul Churchland.
