The New Testament in modern English

Though I had grown up reading the Bible, it wasn't till I was 18 and discovered the Phillips New Testament in modern English that the "light came on"! I love reading Phillips, a one man translation, not paraphrase. His wording opened my eyes to the beauty, greatness, and truth of God's word. Forty years later, I still love to read and memorize out of Phillips.
