Never in the history of the Olympics have two gold medals been awarded for one event, but in the Winter Games of 2002 held in Salt Lake City, bribery and graft were uncovered in the scoring process of the pairs competition that pressured the ruling judges to upgrade the silver medal awarded to Canada to a second gold medal.
