"This Draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (SEIS) for the South Operations Area Project Amendment (SOAPA) is to provide additional information regarding cumulative effects associated with the SOAPA Project when combined with past, present, and reasonably foreseeable future land use activities in the Carlin Trend area. The SOAPA Project was authorized in 2002, has been constructed, and is currently being operated by Newmont Mining Corporation (Newmont)"--Page 1-1.
