The Mahdi III

Trilogy conclusion of a fictional account of a German adventurer in the Sudan in the late 1800s fighting slavers and other rogues including the historical Mahdi, a theocratic Muslim redeemer who established an empire covering most of the Sudan. It's successor was finally defeated by 1898.
