Covers Napoleon's campaign in Belgium in June of 1815, with particular emphasis on the battle at Ligny from mid-afternoon of 16 June to the early morning hours of 17 June. Argues that the actions of Napoleon and the Prussian general Bl©ơcher at Ligny laid the foundations for Napoleon's defeat by Wellington two days later at Waterloo.
