Mapping and characterization of cutover peatlands for reclamation planning

Research was conducted on several hundred hectares of cutover peatlands in Alberta. The objective was the development of viable methods for obtaining data to assess different methods of peatland reclamation. Physical and chemical analysis of sampled peatland soils was undertaken to determine environmental impacts. An extensive mapping survey of the area was also completed.
