The 97th Academy Awards ceremony, presented by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), took place on March 2, 2025, at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles. During the gala, the AMPAS presented Academy Awards in 23 categories honoring films released in 2024. The ceremony, televised in the United States by ABC and streamed on Hulu, was produced by Raj Kapoor and Katy Mullan, and was directed by Hamish Hamilton. Comedian Conan O'Brien hosted the show for the first time.

The ceremony was produced by Jesse Collins Entertainment, directed by Alex Rudzinski, and broadcast in the United States by CBS and Paramount+. Nate Bargatze hosted the event.

30th Critics' Choice Awards for film and television

The 2025 MTV Video Music Awards were held at the UBS Arena in Elmont, New York, on September 7, 2025. It was broadcast for the first time on CBS and available to stream on Paramount+ with a simulcast on MTV. The show was hosted by rapper and actor LL Cool J. The pre-show was aired on MTV and select sister cable networks with hosts Nessa and Kevan Kenney.
