Goliath

Goliath ( ) is a Philistine warrior of giant stature who plays a pivotal role in the origin myth of King David in the Book of Samuel. According to 1 Samuel, Goliath challenges the Israelites to best him in single combat. David, then a young shepherd, takes up the challenge and kills Goliath with a stone slung from a sling. The narrative signifies King Saul's unfitness to rule for not taking up the giant's challenge himself.

Nimrod

Nimrod is a biblical figure mentioned in the Book of Genesis and the Books of Chronicles. The son of Cush and thus the great-grandson of Noah, Nimrod was described as a king in the land of Shinar (Lower Mesopotamia). The Bible states that he was "a mighty hunter before the Lᴏʀᴅ [and] ... began to be mighty in the earth". Nimrod became a symbol of defiance against God.

Terah
Terah, also spelled Terach (), was a biblical figure in the Book of Genesis. He is listed as the son of Nahor and father of the patriarch Abraham. As such, he is a descendant of Shem's son Arpachshad. Terah is mentioned in Genesis 11:24–32, Joshua 24:2, and 1 Chronicles 1:17–27 in the Hebrew Bible, and in Luke 3:34 in the New Testament.

Josiah (; ) or Yoshiyahu () was the 16th king of Judah (–609 BCE). Described as "one of Judah’s most important kings," his reign likely marked a turning point in the development of Yahwism.

Tiras ( Ṯīrās) is, according to the Book of Genesis () and 1 Chronicles, the seventh and youngest son of Japheth in the Hebrew Bible. A brother of biblical Javan (associated with the Greek people), its geographical locale is sometimes associated by scholars with the Teresh or Tursha, one of the groups which made up the Sea Peoples, a naval confederacy which terrorized Egypt and other Mediterranean nations around 1200 BCE. These Sea People are referred to as "Tursha" in an inscription of Ramesses III, and as "Teresh of the Sea" on the Merneptah Stele.

While the Bible has no further history regarding Almodad, this patriarch is considered to be the founder of an Arabian tribe in "Arabia Felix". According to the Table of Nations in the Book of Genesis in the Hebrew Bible, Gether ( Geṯer) was the third son of Aram, son of Shem. He appears only twice in the Hebrew Bible, and both times is only mentioned in passing in genealogical lists. In the Table of Nations (Genesis 10:23), he is identified as a son of Aram, while in 1 Chronicles 1:17, he is listed among the sons of Shem.

According to both the Hebrew Bible and the Babylonian Talmud, Zeruiah was a daughter of Jesse and sister of Abigail, to whom reference is made in 1 Chronicles () and 2 Samuel (). Zeruiah had three sons, Abishai, Joab, and Asahel, David's nephews, all of whom were soldiers in David's army.

Uzal (), in the Hebrew Bible, was a descendant of Shem and the sixth son of Joktan as per the Book of Genesis 10:27 and 1 Chronicles 1:21. His settlements are traced in the ancient name of Sanaa, the capital city of the Yemen. Easton's Bible Dictionary describes Uzal as a wanderer and the founder of an Arabian tribe.

Mered is a biblical character, who was from the Tribe of Judah and noted as the husband of Bithiah, daughter of Pharaoh. See Books of Chronicles (). According to the Midrash, Bithiah was one of the mothers of Moses.
Sherah
Sheerah is a woman in the Hebrew Bible who appears only in 1 Chronicles 7:24, where it says that she built three cities: Lower and Upper Beth-horon, and Uzzen-sheerah. According to 2 Chronicles 8:5, Upper and Lower Beth-horon were rebuilt by Solomon as fortified cities.
