Antakya (), Turkish form of Antioch, is a municipality and the capital district of Hatay Province, Turkey, with an area of and a population of around 400,000 people as of 2022. It is in the Hatay Province, which is the southernmost region of Turkey. The city is located in a well-watered and fertile valley on the Orontes River, about from the Levantine Sea.

İskenderun (), historically known as Alexandretta (, ) and Scanderoon, is a municipality and district of Hatay Province, Turkey. Its area is 247 km2, and its population is 251,682 (2022). It is on the Mediterranean coast. Located on an alluvial plain, the city was heavily damaged by powerful earthquakes in February 2023 and subsequent aftershocks, floods and fires.

Samandağ, formerly known as Süveydiye (), is a resort town and municipality and district of Hatay Province, Turkey. Its area is 384 km2, and its population is 123,447 (2022). It lies at the mouth of the Asi River on the Mediterranean coast, near Turkey's border with Syria, from the city of Antakya. In February 2023, the town was heavily damaged by powerful earthquakes.

Dörtyol, historically Chork Marzban (, 'four reaches'), is a municipality and district of Hatay Province, Turkey. Its area is 342 km2, and its population is 128,941 (2022). It is a port city and oil terminus located 26 km north of the city of İskenderun, near the easternmost point of the Mediterranean at the head of the Gulf of İskenderun.

The town stands at the intersection of the route between İskenderun and Aleppo, and the major north-south road between Antakya and Kahramanmaraş. As of 2014, over 35,000 Syrians live in Kırıkhan, an increase from the May 2013 number of 30,000.

Yayladağı (), formerly Ordu (; ), is a municipality and district of Hatay Province, Turkey. Its area is 445 km2, and its population is 36,803 (2022). It is on the border with Syria, south of the city of Antakya.

Payas (; ; ) is a municipality and district of Hatay Province, Turkey. Its area is 157 km2, and its population is 43,919 (2022). The district Payas was created in 2013 from part of the district of Dörtyol.

Altınözü (, el-Kusayr) is a municipality and district of Hatay Province, Turkey. Its area is 392 km2, and its population is 60,344 (2022). It is in the south-east of Hatay Province, on the border between Turkey and Syria. The mayor is Rıfat Sarı (AKP).

Kumlu is a municipality and district of Hatay Province, Turkey. Its area is 193 km2, and its population is 13,333 (2022). It lies in the Amik Valley plain, on the road between Antakya and Reyhanlı.

It covers the southwestern part of the agglomeration of İskenderun and the adjacent countryside and coast. In ancient times, it was known as Rhosus () and was a former bishopric and titular see.

Defne is a municipality and district of Hatay Province, Turkey. Its area is 155 km2, and its population is 165,494 (2022). The district Defne was created in 2013 from parts of the former central district of Hatay and the district of Samandağ. It covers the southwestern part of the agglomeration of Antakya and the adjacent countryside.
