Early Cretaceous fish of Asia

Sinamia is an extinct genus of freshwater amiiform fish which existed in China, Japan, South Korea and North Korea during the Early Cretaceous period. Like the related bowfin, it has an elongated low-running dorsal fin, though this was likely convergently evolved.

Lycoptera is an extinct genus of fish that lived from Lower Cretaceous, Barremian to Aptian in present-day China, North Korea, Mongolia and Siberia. Although there is record from Jurassic Formation in Siberia, its age remains questionable. It is known from abundant fossils representing sixteen species, which serve as important index fossil used to date geologic formations in China. Mesomyzon is an extinct lamprey genus from freshwater strata of the Early Cretaceous (Barremian–Aptian age) Yixian Formation of China. It contains a single species, M. mengae.

Isanichthys is an extinct genus of freshwater lepidotid ginglymodian fish from the Late Jurassic and Early Cretaceous. Four species are known from Thailand, China and the United Kingdom, two of which were previously classified in genera.
