Pazzi family
The Pazzi were a powerful family in the Republic of Florence. Their main trade during the fifteenth century was banking. In the aftermath of the Pazzi conspiracy in 1478, members of the family were banished from Florence and their property was confiscated; the family name and coat-of-arms were permanently suppressed by order of the Signoria.
Albizzi
The Albizzi family () was a patrician noble family and were the de facto leaders of an oligarchy of wealthy families that ruled Florence in the second half of the 14th century. They were at the center of the oligarchy from 1382, in the reaction that followed the Ciompi revolt, to the rise of the Medici in 1434.

The House of Guicciardini () is an old and important Florentine family, which originated from Mugello as rich landowners and moved to Florence in the 14th century. When Francesco Guicciardini (1851–1915) married Princess Luisa Strozzi-Majorca-Renzi (1859–1933), this line of the family changed its name to Guicciardini-Strozzi.
