Calimero is an animated television series about a charming but hapless anthropomorphized chicken; the only black one in a family of yellow chickens. He wears half of his egg shell still on his head. Calimero originally appeared on the Italian television show Carosello on July 14, 1963, and soon became a popular icon in Italy.

Sandokan is a fictional late 19th-century pirate created by Italian author Emilio Salgari. His adventures first appeared in publication in 1883. Sandokan is the hero of 11 adventure novels. Within the series, Sandokan is known throughout the South China Sea as the "Tiger of Malaya".

Pimpa or La Pimpa is an Italian comic strip, created by Francesco Tullio Altan, whose main character is a red-spotted dog with large feet and a small tail. Pimpa's tail and toes are red as well.

Mofy is a stop-motion animated children's television series of shorts. The series is a co-production between Associati Audiovisivi (with their animation brand Misseri Studio and Sony Creative Products in collaboration with Rai Fiction. ZDF Enterprises joined as co-producer in Series 2.
