Hinnøya (Norwegian; ) is the fourth-largest island in Norway, and the largest outside the Svalbard archipelago. The lies just off the western coast of Northern Norway. The island sits on the border of Nordland and Troms counties. The western part of the island is in the district of Vesterålen, the southwestern part is in the Lofoten district, the southeastern part is in the Ofoten district, and the northeastern part is in Troms. , Hinnøya had a population of 32,688. The only town on the island is the town of Harstad. Some of the larger villages include Borkenes, Lødingen, Sigerfjord, and Sørvi

Borkenes is the administrative centre of Kvæfjord Municipality in Troms county, Norway. The farming village is located on the island of Hinnøya, about west of the city of Harstad. It is located along the Kvæfjorden (an arm of the Gullesfjorden), looking across the fjord at the island of Kvæøya.
Andfjorden
or is a fjord on the border of Nordland and Troms counties in Norway. It is located in Andøy Municipality, Senja Municipality, Harstad Municipality, and Kvæfjord Municipality. The fjord primarily flows between the large islands of Andøya and Senja. Grytøya and the smaller islands Bjarkøya and Krøttøya are located in the fjord. The main crossing is via the Andenes–Gryllefjord Ferry.
Kvæøya
Kveøya is an island in Kvæfjord Municipality in Troms county, Norway. It is located in the Kvæfjorden, an arm of the Gullesfjorden. The island sits about southwest of the village of Borkenes. In 2010, the Kveøy Bridge was completed, connecting the village of Hundstad on the island to a point just west of the village of Straumen on the main island of Hinnøya.
Gullesfjorden
or is a fjord that cuts into the island of Hinnøya in Troms county, Norway. It is located mostly within Kvæfjord Municipality, although a small part in the northwestern part of the fjord lies in Sortland Municipality in Nordland county. The inner head of the fjord is known as Gullesfjordbotn.

Langvassbukta is a village in Kvæfjord Municipality in Troms county, Norway. The village is located on the west coast of the Gullesfjorden on the large island of Hinnøya. It is located about southwest of the town of Sortland. Langvassbukt Chapel is located in the village.
Nupen

The tall mountain lies on the border of Kvæfjord Municipality and Harstad Municipality, about west of the town of Harstad. The peak of the mountain is in Harstad, but the mountain itself straddles the municipal border. The village of Bremnes lies just west of the mountain in Kvæfjord and the Andfjorden lies to the north. The mountain is known for its view of the midnight sun.
