Soisalo
thumb|Map of the Lake Saimaa area Soisalo () is an area in central Finland, south of Kuopio. It is commonly regarded as the largest island of Finland. While it is an area of land surrounded by water (the lakes Kallavesi, Unnukka, Suvasvesi and Kermajärvi), as the lakes are narrow in places they are more like rivers.

Saaranpaskantamasaari
Saaranpaskantamasaari is a small uninhabited island located in Lake Onkamojärvi in northeastern Finland, near the border with Russia. It is administered by the municipality of Salla.
Säynätsalo
Säynätsalo is a former municipality in Finland and a part of Jyväskylä. As of November 2010 its population was 3,340. Säynätsalo municipality consisted of islands of Säynätsalo and Lehtisaari and also a part of Muuratsalo island. All of the islands are located on the Lake Päijänne. Also a small slice of land on the continent was part of the municipality.
Haukkasalo
Haukkasalo is the third largest island in Lake Päijänne in Finland, located at 61.72N 25.43E. Visitors can access Haukkasalo by cable ferry or private boat. Less than 5 people live there all year round, but there are several summer cottages.
Kirkkokari

It is the only modern day Roman Catholic pilgrimage site in Finland and one of the few in Nordic countries.
Muuratsalo

The northern part of the island belongs to Jyväskylä and the southern part to Muurame. It is located south from the Jyväskylä city centre and east from Muurame. There are 800 inhabitants in Muuratsalo. The Muuratsalo Experimental House by Alvar Aalto is located on the island. Elissa and Alvar Aalto discovered the place for this jewel of architecture while Säynätsalo Town Hall was under construction on the neighbouring island.

Mulkkusaaret
thumb|right|300px|Tevä island, with Mulkkusaaret islands in the top right Mulkkusaaret (literally translates to Dick Islands or Penis Islands) is a group of three small islands and one rock in lake Oulujärvi in the Paltamo municipality in Finland. The islands are located north of Tevä island, approximately south-southwest from Melalahti village and approximately north-northwest from Paltaniemi village.
Manamansalo
Manamansalo is the largest island in the Oulujärvi, the fifth largest lake in Finland. Administratively it belongs to the Vaala municipality in North Ostrobothnia, or Kainuu until 2016. It is the seventh largest inland island in Finland, or the fifth largest if Soisalo and Sääminginsalo are not counted as islands.

Oravisalo
Oravisalo is an island in Rääkkylä, in Eastern Finland Province, Finland. Oravisalo is also a village in this island that covers an area of 49 km^2. It is 9th biggest freshwater island in Finland. Population is about 250.
Kokkosaari

It is located in Kuonanjärvi on the Sääminginsalo island, which has been claimed to be the largest island in Finland. Kokkosaari is almost 2000 m long, with a width of 400–900 m.
Vuoritsalo
Vuoritsalo is a island in the northern part of lake Päijänne in Jyväskylä, Finland. There are many seasonal homes on the island's coasts, while the interior is uninhabited forest. The terrain of the island is rocky and uneven, with forests ranging from barren types to more fertile ones.
