The garmon (, from , cognate of English harmonica), commonly called garmoshka, is a kind of Russian button accordion, a free-reed wind instrument. A garmon has two rows of buttons on the right side, which play the notes of a diatonic scale, and at least two rows of buttons on the left side, which play the primary chords in the key of the instrument as well as its relative harmonic minor key. Meykhana () is a distinctive Azerbaijani literary and folk rap tradition, consisting of an unaccompanied song performed by one or more people improvising on a particular subject. Meykhana is variation of the aytysh genre of music, which is distinct from spoken word poetry in that it is performed in time to a beat, and competitive.

The "Jujalarim" (, Cyrillic: Ҹүҹәләрим, — my little chicks) is an Azerbaijani song composed by for children by Gambar Huseynli and Tofig Mutallibov. It was sung for the first time by Sughra Baghirzada in May 1959 at the Festival of the Decade of Azerbaijani Art in Moscow.

A khananda ( ; ; alternative spellings in English: khanende, khanande, khanandeh) is a name generally given to singers of mugham, an Azeri folk music genre. The word is of Persian origin and means "singer". When performing traditional mugham, a khananda is accompanied by a trio of musicians who play the tar, the kamancheh and the daf (tambourine). Often the khananda is the daf-player.

A sazanda or sazandar ( / سازنده; ; ; ; alternative spellings in English: sazende, sazandeh) is one of the three musicians in the traditional ensemble of instrumentalists performing along with a singer (khananda, in the case of an Azeri mugham performance) in the South Caucasus. The word means "builder" in Persian. The trio consists of a tarist, a kamanchist and a daf player. Historically the word sazanda(r) was applied to any instrumentalist from Anatolia, the Caucasus or Iran, who played a folk instrument.
