Astana
Astana is the capital city of Kazakhstan. With a population of 1,622,245 within the city limits, it is the second-largest in the country after Almaty, which was the national capital until 1997. The city lies on the banks of the Ishim river in the north of Kazakhstan. It is located within the Akmola Region but administers itself. Initially founded as Aqmoly in 1830, the city was later renamed Akmolinsk, Tselinograd, and Aqmola before adopting the name Astana in 1998, which means "capital city" in Kazakh. Abeokuta is the capital city of Ogun State, which is located in southwestern Nigeria. It is situated on both banks of the Ogun River, near a group of rocky outcrops in a wooded savanna; north of Lagos by railway, or by water. , Abeokuta (comprising the two local government areas of Abeokuta North and South) had a combined population of 449,088. Its estimated population as at 2022 based on this definition was 735,000 inhabitants, although the city limits has sprawled into the neighbouring LGA of Odeda since the last enumeration exercise.

Gavar
Gavar ( ) is a town in Armenia serving as the administrative centre of the Gavar Municipality and the Gegharkunik Province. It is situated among the high mountains of Gegham range to the west of Lake Sevan, with an average height of 1982 meters above sea level. Located 98 kilometers east of the capital Yerevan, the town had a population of 20,765 as per the 2011 census. As per the 2022 census, the population of Gavar is 17,741.

Vardenis
Vardenis ( ) is a town in the Vardenis Municipality of Gegharkunik Province, Armenia. It is in the Masrik River valley, on the territory of the Masrik artesian basin at above sea level, near the southeastern shores of Lake Sevan. It is by road east of the capital Yerevan, and southeast of the provincial centre Gavar. The administrative territory of Vardenis comprises , of which is occupied by the town itself. Vardenis obtained its status as an urban settlement in 1995. In the 2011 census the population was 12,685, and in the 2022 census it was 12,466.
