Thessaloniki
Thessaloniki (; ; also known by various spellings and names) is a city in northern Greece. The nation's second-largest, with slightly over one million inhabitants in its metropolitan area, it is the capital of the geographic region of Macedonia, the administrative region of Central Macedonia and the Decentralized Administration of Macedonia and Thrace. It is also known in Greek as , literally "the co-capital", a reference to its historical status as the "co-reigning" city () of the Byzantine Empire alongside Constantinople.

Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Kordelio-Evosmos, of which it is the seat and a municipal unit. It has a land area of and its population is 79,221 (2021 census). Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Ampelokipoi-Menemeni, of which it is a municipal unit. It is neighbored by Evosmos, Ampelokipoi, Thessaloniki and Echedoros. Menemeni includes the quarters of Vosporos, Agios Nektarios, Dialogi and Lachanokipoi.

Pylaia () is a former municipality in the Thessaloniki Prefecture of Greece. In the 2011 local government reform, Thessaloniki Prefecture became the regional unit of Thessaloniki (without boundary changes), and Pylaia became a part of the new municipality of Pylaia-Chortiatis. Pylaia continues under its old boundaries as a municipal unit within Pylaia-Chortiatis.

Thermaikos () is a suburban municipality of the regional unit of Thessaloniki, Greece. It consists of the municipal units Thermaikos, Epanomi and Michaniona. The municipal unit Thermaikos is subdivided into the communities Peraia, Neoi Epivates and Agia Triada. The municipality Thermaikos has an area of 133.41 km2 and the municipal unit Thermaikos has an area of 20.300 km2. Thermaikos stretches for 10 km along the southeastern coast of the Thermaic Gulf.
