Oxyuranus
Taipans are snakes of the genus Oxyuranus in the elapid family. They are large, fast-moving, extremely venomous, and endemic to Australia and New Guinea. Three species are recognised, one of which, the coastal taipan, has two subspecies. Taipans are some of the deadliest known snakes.
Perentie
The perentie (Varanus giganteus) is a species of monitor lizard. It is one of the largest living lizards, after the Komodo dragon, Asian water monitor, and the crocodile monitor. Found west of the Great Dividing Range in the arid areas of Australia, it is rarely seen because of its shyness and the remoteness of much of its range from human habitation. The species is considered to be a least-concern species according to the International Union for Conservation of Nature.

Dugite
The dugite (; Pseudonaja affinis) is a species of highly venomous, potentially lethal snake endemic to Western Australia, a member of the family Elapidae. thumb|Caution sign for dugite snakes in the coastal dunes near Swanbourne Beach in Swanbourne, Western Australia. The word dugite is an anglicisation of names for the snake in some dialects of the Nyungar language, including and . However, another, probably cognate name, , has become the common name for dugites in Nyungar (a potential source of confusion, as is also used in some dialects to refer to other kinds of venomous snakes).
