Sines holds an important oil refinery and several petrochemical industries. It is also a popular beach spot and the main fishing harbour of Alentejo region.
Conímbriga
Conímbriga is one of the largest Roman settlements excavated in Portugal, and was classified as a National Monument in 1910. Located in the civil parish of Condeixa-a-Velha e Condeixa-a-Nova, in the municipality of Condeixa-a-Nova, it is situated from the municipal seat and from Coimbra (the Roman town of Aeminium).

Estoi () is a civil parish in the municipality of Faro, in the Algarve, Portugal. In 2013, the parish was merged into a new parish Conceição e Estoi. In 2025 the parish was restored with the implementation of the 25-A/2025 law.
