Sunnmøre (, ) is the southernmost traditional district of the western Norwegian county of Møre og Romsdal. Its main city is Ålesund. The region comprises the municipalities () of Fjord, Giske, Hareid, Herøy, Sande, Haram, Stranda Municipality, Sula, Sykkylven, Ulstein, Vanylven, Volda, Ørsta, and Ålesund.

Larsnes is the administrative centre of Sande Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It is located on the southwest side of the island of Gurskøya, about east of the island of Kvamsøya, southwest of the village of Haugsbygda, and about southwest of the town of Ulsteinvik.

The highest point on the island is Storevarden which is above sea level. The island has an area of . In 2015, there were 888 residents living on the island. The largest village on the island is Kvalsund.

The island is located east of the town of Fosnavåg on the nearby island of Bergsøya. The island is connected to several surrounding islands via a network of bridges. The Remøy Bridge connects it to the island Remøya (to the north), the Herøy Bridge connects it to Nautøya and Gurskøya (to the south), and a small bridge connects to the island of Bergsøya (to the west).

Remøya is an island in Herøy Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The island is located north of the municipal center of Fosnavåg. The island is connected to other islands via a network of bridges. The Remøy Bridge connects it to the island Leinøya (to the south) and the Runde Bridge connects it to the island of Runde (to the north). The highest point on the island is Vardan which is above sea level. Virtually all of the island's residents live on the southern portion of the island in the village area called Remøy. The island had a population of 347 in 2023.

Eggesbønes or Eggesbø is a neighborhood that is located in the southern part of the town of Fosnavåg in Herøy Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. Located on the southern part of the island of Bergsøya, the industrial area of Eggesbønes features a fishing harbor, and the world's largest fish processing plant, which is operated by Marine Harvest.

Austefjorden
Austefjorden is a small fjord which branches off of the main Voldsfjorden in Volda Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The long fjord lies in the Sunnmørsalpene mountains about north of the mountain Eidskyrkja in the northeastern part of the municipality. The Austefjorden and the Kilsfjorden join together to form the Voldsfjorden. The village of Fyrde is located at the innermost part of the fjord. There are several small peninsulas and outcroppings that jut out into the fjord, giving the fjord a meandering S-shaped path.

The islands are located in the Herøyfjorden, north of the island Gurskøya and southwest of the town of Fosnavåg. It includes the islets Flåvær, Husholmen, Torvholmen, and Vardholmen (the Norwegian term holme translates as islet, signifying that these are small).
