Sámi musical groups

Korpiklaani (Finnish for ) is a Finnish folk metal band from Lahti that was formerly known as Shamaani Duo and Shaman.

Jiella was a multi-generational Saami pop group formed in Karigasniemi, Utsjoki, Finland in 1999, led by singer-songwriter and musician Niilo Rasmus. The band was at the forefront of the modernization of the traditional luohti of the Saami living along the Teno, when they started to incorporate Western musical elements such as pop and disco into the traditional luohti. Their entire repertoire is in Northern Saami and is still an integral part of the play lists on Saami radio stations today.

Most of their albums were made by the sisters Ursula and Tuuni Länsman. According to National Biography of Finland, the group contributed to awareness of Sámi culture as a living tradition.

Vilddas is a band that was formed in Tampere, Finland in 1997 by Annukka Hirvasvuopio, Mikko Vanhasalo and Marko Jouste. They play Sámi music, but their instrument selection consist of different instruments from many different cultures like oud and kemence. Vilddas had its first concert on November 26, 1997 in Tampere at Telakka.

Adjágas is a band from Sápmi, Norway composed of Sámi joikers, Lawra Somby and Sara Marielle Gaup, as well as a band of musicians. The group's name is a Sámi word describing the mental state experienced between waking and sleeping.

Rolffa (often stylized as rOlfFa) is a sámi pop group from Karasjok, Norway.

SomBy is a Sámi rock band from the Finnish side of Sápmi that sings in Northern Sámi. The band was founded in Vuotso in 2004. At that point in time, the band consisted solely of girls. Its line-up experienced some changes in November 2007 when two boys from Inari joined.
