It is the second installment in the Sujeeth Cinematic Universe, following Saaho (2019), starring Pawan Kalyan in the titular role, alongside Emraan Hashmi, Prakash Raj, Priyanka Mohan, Arjun Das, Sudev Nair and Sriya Reddy. The film follows Ojas Gambheera, a retired gangster who returns to Bombay in 1993 after a decade to face a powerful crime-lord Omi Bhau.

Varanasi is an upcoming Indian Telugu-language epic action-adventure film directed by S. S. Rajamouli, who co-wrote the film with V. Vijayendra Prasad and S. S. Kanchi. Produced by Sri Durga Arts and Showing Business, the film stars Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra and Prithviraj Sukumaran. The plot follows the adventures of Rudhra (Babu) as the city of Varanasi faces the impending arrival of an asteroid, with the narrative spanning across several timelines.
