Windhoek (; ; ) is the capital and largest city of Namibia. It is located in central Namibia in the Khomas Highland plateau area, at around above sea level in the country's geographical centre area. The population of Windhoek, which was 486,169 in 2023, is growing due to a migration from other regions in Namibia.

Afriforum was established by the trade union Solidarity in 2006 and is officially registered as a non-governmental organisation.
