Vesterålen
Vesterålen ( , ; ) is a district and archipelago in Nordland county, Norway. It is located just north of Lofoten and west of Harstad. It is the northernmost part of Nordland county. Sortland is the largest town, situated near the center of the archipelago. Vesterålen includes the municipalities of Andøy, Bø, Hadsel, Sortland, and Øksnes.

Hinnøya
Hinnøya (Norwegian; ) is the fourth-largest island in Norway, and the largest outside the Svalbard archipelago. The lies just off the western coast of Northern Norway. The island sits on the border of Nordland and Troms counties. The western part of the island is in the district of Vesterålen, the southwestern part is in the Lofoten district, the southeastern part is in the Ofoten district, and the northeastern part is in Troms. , Hinnøya had a population of 32,688. or is an island in Hadsel Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. It is located in the Vesterålen region on the north side of the Hadselfjorden. The town of Stokmarknes is situated on the northern shore of the island and the village of Melbu is on the southern coast.

Andfjorden
or is a fjord on the border of Nordland and Troms counties in Norway. It is located in Andøy Municipality, Senja Municipality, Harstad Municipality, and Kvæfjord Municipality. The fjord primarily flows between the large islands of Andøya and Senja. Grytøya and the smaller islands Bjarkøya and Krøttøya are located in the fjord. The main crossing is via the Andenes–Gryllefjord Ferry.

Stø is a fishing village in Øksnes Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. It is located on the northern tip of the island of Langøya, along the Gavlfjorden in the Vesterålen archipelago. In 2001, there were about 175 residents. This village was the administrative centre of the old Langenes Municipality which existed from 1919 until 1964.

Hadselfjord
Hadselfjorden or Hadselfjord is a fjord in Hadsel Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. The fjord lies in the Vesterålen region, separating the island of Hadseløya (on the north and west side of the fjord) from the islands of Austvågøya and Hinnøya island (on the south and east side of the fjord). In the northeast, the Hadselfjorden connects with Sortlandssund strait, which separates the islands of Langøya and Hinnøya. In the southwest the fjord empties into the Norwegian Sea.
Litløya
Litløya () is a small island in Bø Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. It is part of the Vesterålen archipelago, about southwest of the village of Bø on the coast of the large island of Langøya. The island is best known for the Litløy Lighthouse located on the western part of the island. Its highest point on the island is the tall Litløytinden.

Alsvågvatnet is a lake which lies in Øksnes Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. It is located on the island of Langøya in the Vesterålen archipelago. There is birch woodland and bogland nearby. The lake sits at an elevation of above sea level, about west of the village of Alsvåg, along the road to Myre.

Risøysundet is a strait between the islands of Andøya and Hinnøya in the Vesterålen archipelago in Norway. It is located in Andøy Municipality in Nordland county. The long strait has only one road crossing: the Andøy Bridge as part of the Norwegian County Road 82 connecting the villages of Risøyhamn and Dragnes.

Malnesfjord
Malnesfjorden () is a fjord in Bø Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. The long fjord is located between two peninsulas on the northwestern part of the island of Langøya in the Vesterålen archipelago. The inlet to the fjord lies between the village of Hovden to the northwest and the Godvika inlet to the northeast. The fjord reaches a depth of southwest of Godvika. The mountain Malnesberget lies on the western shore of the fjord.

Forfjorden
Forfjorden is a fjord on the west side of the island of Hinnøya in the Vesterålen archipelago in Nordland county, Norway. The fjord lies along the border between Sortland Municipality and Andøy Municipality. The Norwegian County Road 82 follows the shoreline around the whole fjord. The coast around the Forfjorden has about 70 inhabitants. The fjord is located about northeast of the town of Sortland and about south of Andenes. The name is derived from its surrounding pine forest, as "Furu" and "Forra" translates to pine tree. The long fjord flows to the west and joins the Gavlfjorden along with

Jørnfjorden is a fjord in Bø Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. The long fjord is an arm of Eidsfjorden, cutting into the large island of Langøya in the Vesterålen archipelago. The inlet to the ford lies between the villages of Straumsnes to the west and Guvåg to the east. The fjord extends north to the village of Verhalsen. The fjord reaches a depth of just northeast of the small village of Auvåg.

Sortlandsundet
or () is a strait or sound in Sortland Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. It separates the islands of Langøya and Hinnøya and it connects the Hadselfjorden in the south and the Gavlfjorden in the north. The Sortland Bridge is the only bridge that crosses the long strait.
