Ånnsjön
Ånnsjön is a lake in Åre Municipality in Jämtland County, Sweden. By road it is located northwest of Östersund.
The lake and surrounding wetlands are rich in fish, water birds and other wildlife. There are remains of human habitation in the region since the Stone Age,
including petroglyphs that are among the oldest in Sweden. In the late 19th century there were attempts to drain the wetlands for use in agriculture and forestry, but this is now being reversed. The lake and surroundings is a protected Natura 2000 area, and attracts many birdwatchers.
Holderen
Holderen is a lake on the border between Sweden and Norway. The Norwegian part is located inside Blåfjella–Skjækerfjella National Park in Snåsa Municipality in Trøndelag county and the Swedish part is located in Åre Municipality in Jämtland County. The lake lies about south of the lake Grøningen.

Fäviken Magasinet
Fäviken was a restaurant located in Åre Municipality, Jämtland, Sweden. It was run by chef Magnus Nilsson between 2008 and 2019. The food served at the restaurant was localised to the estates around the restaurant, with only a handful of exceptions. Fäviken was placed in The World's 50 Best Restaurants in 2012, and named as one of the top ten restaurants in the world by the Zagat guide in 2013. The restaurant closed December 14, 2019, because Nilsson wanted to move on to other projects.

Edsåsdalen
Edsåsdalen is an alpine ski area in the Åre Municipality in Jämtland County, Sweden. The ski area has 10 runs and 5 lifts for downhill skiing on the southern slope of Renfjället. There are three prepared cross-country tracks with lengths of , and ; of which the 3.5 kilometres track is a lighted track for nightskiing. An outdoor shooting range is adjacent to the cross-country tracks for biathletes with a capacity of 40 persons.
