Encyclopedic overview
NGC 4365 is a giant elliptical galaxy located in the constellation Virgo. It was discovered by German-English astronomer William Herschel on April 13, 1784. The galaxy is located at an estimated distance of 74.4 million light-years (22.80 Mpc) from the Milky Way galaxy.
