ABS-CBN

ABS-CBN is a Philippine media, content and broadcasting network, serving as the flagship media brand of ABS-CBN Corporation, a subsidiary of Lopez Holdings Corporation. With current locations at the ELJ Communications Center at Mother Ignacia Avenue, corner Sergeant Esguerra Avenue, Diliman, Quezon City as its headquarters and ABS-CBN Soundstage (also known as Horizon IT Park) in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan, and appearance of its artists outside the network's jurisdiction including collaborations with other networks since January 24, 2021 following the May 5, 2020 shutdown of its own free television due to expired broadcast franchise that provides them secondary work on third-party media and production companies and networks with permission and scheduling from the management between them to do so, it is known as the "Kapamilya Network" (”family” in Filipino) since its introduction in 1999.

Formerly known as the Philippines' largest television network in its flagship station DWWX-TV, ABS-CBN was the oldest television broadcaster in Southeast Asia, launched on October 23, 1953, making it one of the oldest television broadcasters in Continental Asia. In 2020, amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the network shut down its broadcast operations resulting from the non-renewal of its franchise, since it was first shut down in 1972 following the martial law period under former Philippine president Ferdinand Marcos.
