Archie Hahn is an American actor and singer, best known for his role in Brian De Palma's 1974 film, Phantom of the Paradise. In the film, he portrays one of the three nameless members of The Juicy Fruits, later repackaged into The Beach Bums and The Undead. He performs lead vocals on the film's opening number, the '50s doo wop throwback "Goodbye, Eddie, Goodbye". It was Hahn's idea to read the song's spoken word parts in a Puerto Rican accent. Charles Archibald Hahn (September 14, 1880 – January 21, 1955) was an American track athlete and is widely regarded as one of the best sprinters of the early 20th century. He is the first athlete to win both the 100 m and 200 m race at the same Olympic Games.
