Barteria je rod iz porodice Passifloraceae, potporodice Passifloroideae, tribusa Paropsieae. Vrste koja pripadaju ovom rodu su Barteria fistulosa Mast., mirmekofitno drvo Barteria nigritana Hook.f., Barteria dewewrei De Wild. & T.Durand, Barteria solida Breteler, status još nije riješen za Barteria africana Welw.. Simbiotične su s mravima. U nigerijskim kišnim šumama štite ih mravi pachysima (Pseudomyrmecinea). B. fistulosa živi s jednom vrstom mrava Pachysima aethiops, dok B. nigritana živi s nekoliko mravljih vrsta. Homonim je Barteria Welw..

They are native to Tropical Africa and found in the countries of Angola, Benin, Burkina, Cabinda, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Gulf of Guinea Island, Ivory Coast, Liberia, Mali, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, Uganda and Zaïre.
