Basbitti is a village development committee in Saptari District in the Sagarmatha Zone of south-eastern Nepal. At the time of the 2011 Nepal census it had a population of 3,666 people living in 683 individual households. The village is located 5 km south of Rupani and 5  km north from Rajbiraj (the headquarters of Saptari district). Rupani and Rajbiraj are connected by the road RamLaxam marg and the village is situated east to the road.
