Bin Yu

Bin Yu is a United States citizen born in 1969. She works as an engineer, statistician, mathematician, and university teacher. Her professional field is statistics. She has been employed by the University of California, Berkeley, and the University of Wisconsin–Madison. She is also educated at the University of California, Berkeley, and Peking University.

Yu is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, the National Academy of Sciences, the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and the Institute of Mathematical Statistics. She has received the Guggenheim Fellowship, IEEE Fellow status, and Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. Her doctoral advisors were Lucien Le Cam and Terry Speed.
