Spilocuscus rufoniger is een zoogdier uit de familie van de koeskoezen (Phalangeridae). De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort werd voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd door Zimara in 1937 als Phalanger rufoniger. Voorkomen De soort komt voor op Nieuw-Guinea.
