Carcoforo (Kirchof in walser, Carcòfo in piemontese) è un comune italiano di 72 abitanti della Val Sermenza, valle laterale della Valsesia, nella provincia di Vercelli, in Piemonte, fondato da coloni walser. A un'altitudine di 1 304 metri sul livello del mare, si trova in Val d'Egua, attraversata dall'omonimo torrente. Nel 1991 è risultato, secondo la rivista Airone, il villaggio ideale d'Italia.
