Česká Lípa ( Czech pronunciation: [tʃɛskaː liːpa] ; German: Böhmisch Leipa) is a town in the Liberec Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 36,000 inhabitants, making it the most populated Czech town without city status. It is an industrial city, known primarily for the production of parts for the automotive industry.
The historic town centre is well preserved and is protected as an urban monument zone. Among the main landmarks of Česká Lípa is the Lipý Castle.
