Chýně is a town in Prague-West District in the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 5,000 inhabitants.
==Etymology== The initial name of the settlement was probably Chajín. The name was derived from the personal name Chája, meaning "Chája's (court)". The name was gradually distorted to Chajn and then to Chejn. From the 19th century, the name Chýně is used.
