It is situated in the Cusco Region, Quispicanchi Province, in the districts Ccarhuayo and Ocongate. Cinajara lies southwest of the Jolljepunco. The annual religious Quyllur Rit'i festival takes place at the foot of the mountains Cinajara and Jolljepunco.
