Connellit ist ein eher selten vorkommendes Mineral aus der Mineralklasse der „Halogenide“. Es kristallisiert im hexagonalen Kristallsystem mit der chemischen Zusammensetzung Cu19[Cl4(OH)32|SO4] • 2H2O und entwickelt meist dichte Gruppen feinfaseriger bis nadeliger, radialstrahliger Kristall-Büschel von wenigen Millimetern Größe, die üblicherweise nach [0001] gestreckt und gestreift sind. Auch massige Aggregate und krustige Überzüge von Connellit sind bekannt. Die Farbe schwankt von Hell- bis Blaugrün. Connellit bildet eine Mischreihe mit .
