Cormobates is a genus of bird in the Australasian treecreeper family. Its scientific name means ‘trunk-creeper’, from the Greek ' (, ‘tree trunk’) and ' (, ‘one who treads’).

Cormobates es un género de ave paseriformes de la familia Climacteridae.[1] Contiene únicamente dos especies, una de Nueva Guinea y la otra de Australia. Especies Las dos especies del género son:[1][2] Cormobates leucophaea (Latham, 1802) - corretroncos gorjiblanco; Cormobates placens (P. L. Sclater, 1874) - corretroncos papú.
