Herpetologie Cryptothylax is een geslacht van kikkers uit de familie rietkikkers (Hyperoliidae).[1] De groep werd voor het eerst wetenschappelijk beschreven door Raymond Ferdinand Laurent en J. Laurent-Combaz in 1950.
