Cyria es un grupo de Monterrey Nuevo León, que empezó a juntarse a tocar por primera vez en 1996. La primera formación del grupo fue conformada por Jorge García(voz principal,guitarra), Nano Garza( guitarra y 2a voz), Alejandro Quiroga(batería) y Fernando Salinas(bajo). Cirya, also known as Celia, Kirya, Sirya or Silya, was a princess of Quinquegentiani and daughter of king Nubel during the middle of the 4th century, in Kabylia.
Cyria is probably derived from "Kyria", meaning "Mistress" or "Lady". evoking a title of nobility and high status and respect, often associated with attributes of leadership and authority.
