David Lucas (Helfman) was born in Buffalo, NY. He was a record promotion man for Paul Anka, Frankie Avalon, Sam Cook, The Everly Brothers, Pat Boone and many others. He was a performer in Miami Beach where he met drummer Buddy Rich and toured the world.
