==Taxonomy== The differences between this genus and Himalayacalamus are subtle: Drepanostachyum species have many equal branches while those of Himalayacalamus have one dominant branch. Species Formerly included several species now considered better suited to other genera: Ampelocalamus Dendrocalamus Fargesia Himalayacalamus
