== Geography == Durnovsky is located in forest steppe on the Khopyorsko-Buzulukskaya Plain, on the left bank of the Buzuluk River, 24 km southwest of Novoanninsky (the district's administrative centre) by road. Tavolzhansky is the nearest rural locality.
