Ernst Adolf Boehe (* December 27 1880 in Munich , † November 16th 1938 in Ludwigshafen am Rhein ) was a German conductor and composer . Boehe came from a Bavarian officer's family. Even as a high school student, he took lessons in harmony and counterpoint at Rudolf Louis and piano with Josef Pembaur . From 1900 he studied at the Royal Academy of Music in Munich, where he Ludwig Thuille (composition) and Henry Schwartz (piano) taught. As a conductor he directed from 1907 together with Walter Cou
