popolazioni del circolo polare artico, viventi in Alaska, Canada, Groenlandia e Siberia
"Eskimo" is a term that refers to two closely related Indigenous peoples—the Inuit and the Yupik—who inhabit Arctic and subarctic regions from eastern Siberia to Greenland and speak related languages. The term is considered controversial because it is an exonym (a name applied by outsiders) rather than a name these peoples chose for themselves, which is why many now prefer the names of their specific groups.
