Gøsta Esping-Andersen

Gøsta Esping-Andersen is a male sociologist, political scientist, university teacher, and economist born in 1947 in Næstved. He holds citizenship in the Danish Realm and speaks English. His academic background includes education at the University of Copenhagen and the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where his doctoral advisor was Erik Olin Wright.

He has served as faculty at Harvard University and Pompeu Fabra University. Esping-Andersen is a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, which recognizes him in its collection.
