George Whitefield

George Whitefield was a male Christian minister, theologian, writer, and preacher born in Gloucester in 1714. A citizen of the United Kingdom, he was educated at Pembroke College and spoke English. His religious worldview encompassed Reformed Christianity and the Episcopal Church. He was influenced by Jonathan Edwards and had significant associations with John Wesley and Charles Wesley.

Whitefield authored 87 works, including *Researchers Library of Ancient Texts - Volume V*, *Walking with God*, *Seed of the Woman and the Seed of the Serpent*, *Great Sermons - the Great Duty of Family Religion*, and *Great Sermons by Great Preachers*. He died in Newburyport in 1770 and is buried in Massachusetts.
