Gimry (, ) is a rural locality (a selo) in Untsukulsky District of the Republic of Dagestan, Russia. It is known as the birthplace of two Dagestani imams, Ghazi Muhammad and Shamil, who resisted Russian expansion into the region in the nineteenth century. Population:
